Avalon Trust Co Bets Big on Goldman Sachs

Avalon Trust Co has acquired shares of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. ($GS) in the second quarter, according to its most recent disclosure with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The fund bought a new position in shares of GS, purchasing 1,859 shares valued at approximately $1,880,000.

This is not an isolated move, as other large investors have also made changes to their positions in GS. Vanguard Group Inc., for example, grew its stake in the investment management company by 1.5% during the fourth quarter and now owns 29,014,431 shares worth $25,503,685,000.

Bank of America Corp DE also increased its position in GS by 8.0% during the first quarter and now owns 6,455,011 shares valued at $5,460,875,000.
