Avanade Cuts Incident Resolution Time with Microsoft Security Copilot
Avanade, a global professional services firm, was facing pressure to secure and scale its AI operations. The company needed to modernize its identity-driven security operations to match the speed of its own enterprise AI adoption.
Traditional workflows relied on manual analysis and a limited pool of security specialists, causing bottlenecks and inconsistent response times. High-volume identity incidents were handled through fragmented, multi-step, manual workflows, with complex cases requiring senior subject matter experts.
The average manual investigation time ranged from 10 minutes to as much as 77 minutes, depending on the scenario. Avanade's Chief Information Officer, Tony Leraris, emphasized the importance of securing and operating AI internally, saying 'Clients trust us to help them move forward with AI. That means we have to be just as disciplined about how we secure and operate it internally.'
Avanade turned to Microsoft Security Copilot to cut incident resolution time by up to 80%. The solution embedded AI into investigations, workflows, and security operations, scaling expertise without requiring every engineer to become a senior specialist.
