AWS and OpenAI Bolster Cyber Defense Capabilities with Daybreak Models

Cybersecurity defenders are facing an increasing challenge in keeping pace with the rapid exploitation of vulnerabilities. With frontier models able to reason across entire code bases, trace vulnerabilities to their root cause, and propose fixes in minutes, adversaries have a significant advantage.

AWS and OpenAI are addressing this issue by making Daybreak Red and Daybreak Blue available on Amazon Bedrock to eligible customers. These models provide access to GPT-5.6 Cyber and GPT-5.6 Sol, respectively, with safeguards calibrated for defensive cybersecurity work.

Daybreak Blue is designed as a starting point for most security teams, supporting vulnerability discovery, detection engineering, and incident response. Daybreak Red is geared towards advanced tasks like vulnerability research, exploit reproduction, and mitigation development.
