AWS and SAP Expand Partnership to Seven New Regions

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has signed a five-year strategic collaboration pact with SAP to expand the SAP Business AI platform to seven new AWS regions.

The partnership is an extension of the existing template where software firms commit their workloads to cloud providers in exchange for becoming the preferred substrate for AI and data products.

Historically, these agreements have been more significant for workload capture than immediate market impact, as multi-year regional expansions translate into contracted cloud consumption that shows up in infrastructure segment backlog and revenue visibility.
