Azure Multicloud Interconnect: Microsoft and AWS Simplify Cross-Cloud Networking
Microsoft and Amazon Web Services (AWS) are teaming up to simplify cross-cloud networking for their customers. The two tech giants have introduced Azure Multicloud Interconnect, a new service that provides dedicated private connections between Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
The service is designed to reduce the complexity associated with multicloud deployments by providing a streamlined provisioning experience. It can support high-bandwidth workloads of up to 100 Gbps and integrates with Azure Private Link to provide end-to-end private networking paths across cloud boundaries.
Azure Multicloud Interconnect is built on open API specifications designed to enable network interoperability between cloud providers. Microsoft says the service offers private connectivity, enterprise-grade security, scalability, and simplified management.
