Bangladesh Airlines Bolsters Fleet with Boeing Deal

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has ordered an additional 11 aircraft from Boeing to expand its fleet and network. The deal, signed on September 24, 2026, includes five B787-10 and six B737-8 MAX aircraft.

This is separate from a previous order placed in April 2026 for 14 aircraft, which included eight 787-10s, two 787-9s, and four 737 MAX 8 aircraft.

Rumee A Hossain, Chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, highlighted that the additional order is part of the airline's ongoing fleet expansion plans. He stated, 'This agreement is one part of a broader, carefully considered plan to strengthen the country's international connectivity in the years ahead.'
