A Supreme Court lawyer has sent a legal notice to the government of Bangladesh demanding disclosure of documents related to the country's reported deal to purchase 14 Boeing aircraft from the United States.

The notice was sent by Barrister MMG Sarwar Payel to the cabinet secretary, secretaries of the Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry and Finance Division, and the chairman and managing director of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

The deal is reportedly worth around $3.7 billion and has raised concerns over transparency, financial justification, and public interest implications amid foreign exchange shortages and inflation.
