Banks Back Drax Solar Fund with Multi-Million Pound Loan
JPMorgan, Santander, and NatWest have provided a loan to Drax's Bluefield Solar Income Fund for its acquisition. The financial backing is expected to support the fund's growth and expansion in the renewable energy sector.
Drax Group's subsidiary, Bluefield Partners, manages the Bluefield Solar Income Fund, which invests in solar photovoltaic (PV) assets across the UK. The loan from JPMorgan, Santander, and NatWest will help the fund continue to finance new projects and expand its portfolio.
The news is seen as a vote of confidence in the growth prospects of the renewable energy sector. As companies focus on reducing their carbon footprint and transitioning to cleaner sources of energy, investments in solar power are becoming increasingly attractive.
