Bathroom Makeover: From Dated to Delightful
Kiley Cutler, a homeowner, wanted to give her main-level bathroom a makeover. The space was functional but lacked character. It had yellow cabinets, vintage yellow tile and wallpaper, a shower, and two doors into the tiny bathroom.
Cutler and her husband removed the shower, converted the space into a powder room, and eliminated one of the two doors. They also replaced the dated gray-blue flooring with sleek black and white tiles and installed beadboard on the walls painted in Sherwin-Williams' 'Mulberry Silk' color.
The new bathroom features a butterfly-printed wallpaper from The Home Depot and various thrifted items, including a vintage-style sconce and console sink. Cutler upgraded the toilet with a wood toilet seat to match the room's colorful, moodier feel.
