Beak and Barrel Reservations Add New Twist to Magic Kingdom Christmas Parties

For over four decades, Disney fans have learned to maximize their Christmas party nights at Magic Kingdom. The traditional strategy involves arriving early and spending the night on entertainment, character meet-and-greets, attractions, and complimentary treats.

This year, however, a new experience is changing the math. The Beak and Barrel, a Pirates of the Caribbean-themed tavern in Adventureland, will operate during Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party for the second year running.

Guests can book reservations starting at 7 p.m., when the official party begins. These reservations last 45 minutes and come at a cost: sacrificing a character meeting, attraction visit, or prime parade-viewing opportunity.

Disney is leaving it up to guests whether to prioritize The Beak and Barrel experience over the traditional strategy of maximizing every minute of their party night.
