Bell and Cisco Forge Sovereign AI Infrastructure for Canada
Bell Canada and Cisco have teamed up to create sovereign AI infrastructure for Canada. The companies announced a memorandum of understanding on September 29, outlining plans to collaborate on deploying, securing, and managing AI infrastructure within Canada.
The goal is to give Canadian organizations more control over their critical systems and data, particularly in sensitive workloads and stricter security requirements.
Bell's Canadian data centre space will be combined with Cisco's AI infrastructure, security, observability, and management technologies. They will also assess Cisco's AI PODs for modular building blocks of different AI workloads.
The partnership aims to provide flexible consumption models, allowing customers to better match costs with their usage or reservation of AI infrastructure.
