Robert Bergman, a man with a passion for learning and family, passed away on April 21, 2016, in Santa Rosa, California. He was surrounded by his loved ones during this difficult time.

Born on March 18, 1938, in Brockton, Massachusetts, Bergman grew up in the state and graduated from Whitman High School in 1956. After high school, he served in the Navy for four years before being honorably discharged in 1961.

Bergman went on to earn a range of academic credentials, including a B.S. in Business Administration from Boston College and a Ph.D. in Education from Georgia State University.

With a 25-year career at IBM, Bergman began by repairing computers before transitioning into developing educational materials. He continued to pursue his interests in learning, teaching, and research throughout his life.
