Bengaluru Expenses: Microsoft Employee Spends Rs 63,000 a Month

A software engineer working at Microsoft has shared her monthly expenses in Bengaluru, one of India's most expensive cities. Shivanjali, a 26-year-old techie, spent Rs 63,000 in September on rent, food, travel, and everyday expenses.

Her biggest expense was her rent, which comes to Rs 25,000 a month for a three-BHK apartment she shares with college friends. She pays this amount as her share of the total rent and maintenance costs.

Shivanjali's food expenses are relatively low due to her office routine. She eats breakfast and lunch at work, and spends around Rs 2,000 as her share of a cook's salary at home. Her grocery bill is another Rs 3,000 per month.
