Nivetti Systems, a Bengaluru-based startup, is making waves in the networking industry with its made-in-India devices. The company, which has roots in Infosys, is challenging global giants like Cisco, Arista, and Juniper by designing, developing, and manufacturing networking devices entirely within India. Co-founder Raghuveer B. highlighted the importance of secure and trustworthy digital infrastructure, especially for critical sectors like defense.
Nivetti's devices, including routers and switches, are already deployed in multiple sensitive networks across India. These include military installations and critical infrastructure projects, such as the power grid. The company's focus on security by design sets it apart, ensuring that its products are resilient against cyber threats. The Department of Defence is one of its major customers, underscoring the strategic importance of its technology.
Breaking into the private sector, dominated by established players, has been challenging. However, Nivetti's commitment to securing sensitive networks and its passion for nation-critical projects have helped it carve out a niche. The company is also exploring the role of AI in managing large-scale networks, though its core focus remains on deterministic systems for secure networking.
Beyond networking, Nivetti is venturing into cybersecurity and robotics. Its cybersecurity products aim to protect existing networks, while its robotics division is currently in stealth mode. With a strong foundation in secure networking and a growing portfolio of innovative solutions, Nivetti Systems is positioning itself as a key player in India's tech ecosystem.
