Benioff Declares Interface Revolution at Dreamforce 2026
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff opened Dreamforce 2026 in San Francisco, calling it an interface revolution. He emphasized that AI models alone cannot run a business and the software industry is not disappearing but changing shape.
Benioff addressed the concept of SaaSpocalypse, which refers to the fear among investors that AI agents will make traditional business software redundant. He countered this idea by stating that Salesforce is not slowing down, citing the company's raised revenue forecast for fiscal year 2027 to between $46.1 and $46.4 billion.
Benioff also discussed the uneven adoption of AI in different countries and companies. He noted that some customers are 'stuck' in the old world and have not transformed their enterprises yet.
