Benioff Declares Year of Interfaces at Dreamforce 2026
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff has declared that Dreamforce 2026 will be the year of interfaces, specifically mentioning live interfaces. He elaborated on his vision for AIForce, which he believes will change how users interact with Salesforce. According to Benioff, users' primary interface to Salesforce is shifting from Lightning to Slack, and the company is showcasing three dynamic interfaces that are intelligent and composite.
Benedeff also discussed the four-layer approach of AIForce, starting with Data 360, followed by Application Layer, Agentforce layer, and finally the new AIForce interface. He emphasized that this multi-layered approach will accelerate user experiences in the enterprise.
In a separate conversation, Benioff spoke about Anthropic, with which Salesforce has an 'incredible relationship.' However, he assured that the company remains model-agnostic, investing in various models such as OpenAI, Mistral, Sakana, and Cohere. When asked about adoption rates, Benioff mentioned that there have been efforts to make AIForce more accessible and transparent, including new pricing mechanisms.
