Benjamin, Former Exec at American Express, Passes Away at 88

Jack Benjamin, an 88-year-old resident of Canandaigua, New York, passed away on September 18, 2026. Born in Rochester, he graduated from Webster High School and went on to have a successful career with Aetna Insurance, eventually becoming the Vice President of financial services with American Express.

Benjamin is survived by his daughter, Cathy Benjamin; grandchildren Chelsea (Corbyn) Manning and Kyle (Mary Butler) Benjamin; great-grandchildren Coen and Caroline Manning, Rogan Benjamin, and Madeline Osborne; as well as brother Richard Benjamin. He was predeceased by his wife, Edith 'Dude' Benjamin, and sons Keith and Kenneth Benjamin.

A memorial service will be held on September 24, 2026, at the First United Methodist Church of Canandaigua to celebrate Benjamin's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church in his memory.
