Benny Dayal Brings His Story Full Circle in UAE Homecoming

Indian playback singer Benny Dayal is returning to the UAE for Thaalam Beats, a South Indian music festival at Dubai's Coca-Cola Arena on August 15. Born in Abu Dhabi and raised in the country, Dayal sees this performance as more than just nostalgia.

'It's both for me,' he said when asked if performing in the UAE felt like an international concert or a homecoming. 'Definitely, there is nostalgia.'

Dayal has built a career around hits like Badtameez Dil and Ude Dil Befikre, but now he's looking beyond Bollywood to independent music. He wants his performances to offer something new for audiences who have heard the songs before.

'When you perform live, you personalise the version for the audience,' Dayal said. 'That's where the artistry comes into play.'
