Berkshire Hathaway Eyes Japanese Stakes Amid Apple Server Push
Berkshire Hathaway is considering increasing its stakes in Japanese trading companies. The conglomerate already holds over 10% of shares in Mitsubishi, Sumitomo, Mitsui, Marubeni, and ITOCHU Corporation.
According to Masahiro Okafuji, president of the Japan External Trade Organization, Berkshire Hathaway's move is driven by strong cash flow, dividends, and share buybacks that lock in long-term capital.
In other news, Apple (AAPL) is reportedly developing a server with its own chips and may utilize Nvidia networking technology. This marks Apple's return to the enterprise server market after a 15-year absence.
