Berkshire Hathaway to Collect Record Dividends from Coca-Cola
Warren Buffett's investment arm, Berkshire Hathaway, is set to receive an impressive $848 million in dividends from Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) by the end of 2026. This comes after Coca-Cola announced a dividend increase to $2.12 per share for its next payout scheduled for October 1, 2026.
This marks the company's 64th consecutive annual dividend increase and one of the highest payouts in the broader stock market. Buffett's investment arm holds 400 million shares in Coca-Cola, making it a significant stakeholder.
Berkshire Hathaway has benefited from Coca-Cola's dividend growth over the years. In 2022, Warren Buffett received $704 million in dividends from the beverage giant. This is an increase of more than 10 times the initial payout he received in 1994, which was $75 million.
Buffett's affinity for Coca-Cola is well-known, and his love for the drink has been a topic of discussion among investors and financial experts. In a 2019 interview with CNBC's Squawk Box, Buffett revealed that he drinks around 12 ounces of Coke every day, which translates to approximately 700 calories.
