Bezos' $4 Billion Amazon Sale Sends Shares Plummeting
Amazon shares fell by over 2% in early trading on Tuesday after Jeff Bezos filed plans to sell $4.1 billion worth of Amazon stock.
The sale is part of a pre-arranged trading plan, known as Rule 10b5-1, which Bezos adopted on November 14, 2025. Under this plan, he intends to sell 15 million common shares acquired in 1994 as founder stock.
This planned sale comes after Amazon's quarterly results showed robust growth in its cloud-computing business, pushing its market value above $3 trillion and sending the stock to a record high.
