A massive insider trading alert has sounded for Amazon stock after Jeff Bezos sold 15 million shares of his corporation's equity for an estimated $4 billion on August 3.

This sale is by far the largest single transaction within the previous five years, considering that Bezos' past stock dumps have typically ranged between $700 billion and $2.3 billion.

The sold shares are part of 'founder stock' dated to July 5, 1994, meaning they appreciated 378,593% in value from their original price of $0.075 to the latest close at $284.02.
