Bezos' Amazon Stake Anchors Stock Performance
Jeff Bezos remains Amazon's largest shareholder, holding roughly 900 million shares, which account for the bulk of his estimated $280 billion net worth.
The co-founder and executive chairman owned 950.4 million shares at the end of February, according to Amazon's annual proxy filing.
This stake makes up 8.8% of Amazon's outstanding shares as of February.
Ahead of Vanguard Group and BlackRock, which own 7.2% and 5.9% respectively, Bezos' ownership is a significant factor in the company's performance.
