The AI industry is facing another major bottleneck - memory chip and electricity shortages. Private investors are capitalizing on this opportunity, with CuspAI securing $450 million in funding from a group of private investors, including Jeff Bezos' venture fund Bezos Expeditions.

CuspAI's technology uses artificial intelligence to identify new materials for computer chips, which can be synthesized at a fraction of the cost and time it would normally take. The company is partnering with Nvidia and Meta on this project, using gallium nitride as one example of these new materials.

The AI industry's growth is being hindered by shortages in key elements like gallium, iridium, and tantalum. CuspAI's technology can virtually identify alternatives to these elements, which could significantly impact the industry's continued growth.
