Billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos carried out his civic duty in Miami on Monday by attending jury duty at the Richard E. Gerstein Justice building.

The South Florida native, who attended Miami Palmetto Senior High School, was spotted leaving the courthouse as local media cameras captured the moment.

Bezos did not respond to questions about last week's Amazon cargo plane crash that killed five people and injured five others. The incident led to Amazon pausing operations with cargo carrier 21 Air on Sunday evening.
