Trump Dismisses AI Risks as 'Hoax', Microsoft Publishes AI Code
US President Donald Trump called AI risks a 'hoax' on Monday, saying the only control needed is 'a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT.'
However, Microsoft published its 37-page Humanist AI Code of Conduct that day, which includes rules for its MAI models to never resist human interruption or shutdown.
The code also states that models will not tamper with chain of thoughts or code and do not communicate in neuralese or any form beyond simple human understanding.
Meanwhile, Anthropic co-founder Jack Clark told the BBC that a 'kill switch' verifiable by a third party may need to be mandatory.
