Jeff Bezos sold $4.07 billion worth of Amazon shares this week, using a pre-set trading plan he adopted eight and a half months earlier.

The sale was executed through Rule 10b5-1, which allows corporate insiders to set future stock sales in advance.

Bezos filed the plan on November 14, 2022, before either Amazon's record-breaking market value or its strong earnings report.

The shares were sold at an average price tied to Amazon's record close on Monday, following a Big Tech earnings preview.
