Bharti Takes on Key Role at IBM Consulting to Drive AI Adoption in Asia Pacific
IBM Consulting has promoted Harish Bharti to Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific. In this new role, he will help enterprises and financial institutions in the region address complex technology challenges, scale AI initiatives, and develop technology solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Bharti's expanded mandate comes at a critical stage for enterprise technology. Organisations across Asia Pacific are increasingly moving beyond generative AI experimentation and evaluating how AI can be integrated into core business processes.
As CTO for IBM Consulting Asia Pacific, Bharti will focus on enterprise architecture, AI adoption, modernisation, and scalable technology solutions. His emphasis on agentic AI is particularly significant as enterprises explore AI systems capable of executing multi-step tasks, interacting with business applications, and supporting complex workflows with greater autonomy.
Bharti brings over 22 years of experience in designing and implementing technology solutions across complex enterprise environments. He has previously served as IBM Consulting CTO for Asia Pacific, IBM Distinguished Engineer, and Master Inventor. His patent portfolio covers a broad range of technologies, including cloud computing, blockchain, cognitive computing, microservices, mobility, digital integration, and the Internet of Things.
