Big Screen on the Green Brings Free Outdoor Movies to Atlanta
The Home Depot Backyard in Atlanta is hosting a two-night outdoor movie series called Big Screen on the Green, presented by American Express. The event features free screenings of ATL and Space Jam, live entertainment, and interactive experiences at the 11-acre greenspace.
Friday's edition, dubbed BackYARD Fest: ATL Homecoming Edition, celebrates the 20th anniversary of the film ATL with HBCU homecoming energy, a vendor village, food trucks, lawn games, and a feature film projection. The evening includes an hour-long set from DJ Montay, a performance from the Atlanta Falcons Drumline, and a roller-skating rink.
Saturday's Summer of '96 Edition rewinds three decades with a screening of Space Jam and 1990s throwback theming, including nostalgic entertainment, themed games, food trucks, and giveaways. The event is family-friendly, and guests are encouraged to arrive in their flyest '90s gear.
