Billionaires Bet Big on Amazon and TSM for AI Dominance
The AI infrastructure build-out has become the stock market's hottest trend since the advent and proliferation of the internet in the mid-to-late 1990s. Form 13F filings reveal that billionaire asset managers have flocked to Amazon (AMZN) and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM), rather than Nvidia (NVDA) or Alphabet (GOOGL).
Amazon's growth has been impressive, with AWS' year-over-year sales growth reaching an 18-quarter high of 37% in the June-ended quarter. The company's margins are significantly higher than its e-commerce and advertising operations.
TSMC is a key player in manufacturing chips used in AI-accelerated data centers, and its CoWoS capacity is expected to grow from 675K wafers in 2025 to 2.31M in 2027. Billionaires have taken notice of the company's transparent cash-flow runway.
