Biman Bangladesh Airlines has placed an order for 11 Boeing aircraft, just five months after its largest ever deal. The latest agreement includes five 787-10 Dreamliners and six 737-8s, bringing Biman's total Boeing orders to 25.

The deal was signed in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, with senior figures from both governments attending. Minister of Civil Aviation and Tourism M. Rashiduzzaman Millat led Bangladesh's delegation, while Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick represented the US.

Biman chairman Rumee A Hossain described the order as a supplemental agreement rather than a fresh strategy. He emphasized that it responds to specific requirements in the airline's fleet plan and reflects its commitment to developing Biman's network and capabilities in line with Bangladesh's connectivity needs.
