Biman Bangladesh Orders More 787-10s and 737-8s from Boeing

Biman Bangladesh Airlines has placed its second Boeing aircraft order in 2026, adding five 787-10 Dreamliners and six 737-8s to its fleet plan. This order brings Biman's total commitment for this year to 25 Boeing aircraft.

The airline already operates six Boeing 787 Dreamliners - four 787-8s and two 787-9s, so the additional 15 Dreamliners ordered in 2026 will expand an existing aircraft family rather than introduce a new widebody type. Biman's current fleet includes 19 aircraft: four 777-300ERs, four Boeing 737s, five Dash 8-400s, and six Boeing 787s.

Rumee A. Hossain, Chairman of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said the order is an important step in the airline's ongoing fleet renewal and network expansion. This agreement represents Biman's second Boeing purchase this year, following an April commitment for eight 787-10s, two 787-9s, and four 737-8s.
