Biman Expands Boeing Order with Additional 11 Aircraft Deal

Biman Bangladesh Airlines is expanding its fleet by adding 11 more Boeing aircraft to its existing order. The supplementary agreement, expected to be signed in New York on September 23, will bring Biman's total Boeing acquisition to 25 aircraft.

The initial deal, signed in April for $3.7 billion, includes eight 787-10 Dreamliners, two 787-9s, and four 737 MAX 8s, with deliveries scheduled to start in 2031.

This move is part of Biman's broader fleet modernization effort, which also involves Airbus. The airline is considering a proposal for 10 Airbus aircraft, including four A350-900s and six A321neos.
