Biman Set to Sign Deal with Boeing for Additional Aircraft in New York

Bangladesh Biman Airlines is set to sign a deal with Boeing in New York to purchase 11 more aircraft, increasing its planned fleet expansion to 25 aircraft. The agreement will be signed by Biman Chairman Rumee A Hossain on behalf of the national flag carrier.

The initial agreement between Biman and Boeing was signed on April 30 for 14 aircraft valued at $3.7 billion, with deliveries expected in 2031. This package includes eight Boeing 787-10s, two 787-9s, and four 737 MAX 8s.

Biman has been expanding its fleet through both Boeing and Airbus since the new government took office. A technical committee is also working on a proposal to purchase 10 Airbus aircraft.
