Biocon Secures Japanese Approval for Pegfilgrastim Biosimilar

Biocon Biologics has secured marketing approval from Japan's Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) for its pegfilgrastim biosimilar.

The product is a biosimilar to Amgen's blockbuster drug Neulasta, developed to treat chemotherapy-induced neutropenia.

Sandoz K.K. will exclusively promote, sell, and distribute the drug in Japan, expanding Biocon's market footprint in highly regulated advanced economies.
