BlackRock Buys into Renk as Goldman Sachs Sees Bright Future for Defence Gear Maker
Renk Group, a German transmission specialist and defence gear maker, has caught the attention of institutional investors. BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, has increased its voting rights in Renk to 3.35%, up from 2.90% previously. This move comes on the heels of Goldman Sachs upgrading Renk shares from neutral to buy and setting a price target of EUR 65.
Goldman Sachs analyst Sam Burgess framed the call as an attractive entry point after the selloff, pointing to high visibility on future earnings growth. He sees the slump having pushed the valuation to a level that no longer does justice to the company's operating prospects.
The bullish case for Renk is underpinned by its growing order book, which reached EUR 7.4 billion in mid-year. This backlog is expected to drive revenue and profitability growth in the medium term.
