BlackRock, Visa, Mastercard Join Circle's Validator Set Ahead of Arc Launch
Circle is gearing up for its Arc Layer-1 public mainnet launch on September 16. To support this milestone, several prominent companies have been added to the validator set. Notably, BlackRock, Visa, and Mastercard will join the group.
The new validators are joining an existing cohort that includes DTCC, Galaxy, Global Payments, ICE, MoneyGram, SBI Group, Standard Chartered, and Sumitomo Corporation. These institutions will secure Arc and support scalable on-chain applications.
Arc's network was built by Circle for security, compliance, robustness of operations, and trust. Over 100 builders of the ecosystem and institutions are already building on Arc.
One potential benefit of this infrastructure is faster settlement times and more efficient collateral movement. According to BlackRock's global digital assets head, Robert Mitchnick, 'rails developed for a specific purpose can enhance the settlement process and the movement of collateral.'
