Blue Cloud Kicks Off $15.5 Million AI Project for IBM Cloud
Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited, an AI-first technology company, has begun work on a major AI infrastructure project for IBM Cloud Inc. The project, valued at US$15.5 million (approximately ₹147 crore), is being executed by Global Impx Inc. (GIX), Blue Cloud’s wholly owned US subsidiary. The engagement covers AI infrastructure design, deployment, and support services, following a 13-phase implementation plan with project reviews every two weeks.
The project spans four key stages: design, build, secure and operate, and validate and hand over. Work is currently underway on Phase 1 (requirement gathering) and Phase 2 (infrastructure assessment). The project aims to deliver a scalable, secure, and high-performance environment for AI and machine-learning workloads, with strict service levels, including 99.5% infrastructure and GPU availability.
Payment is structured around five milestones, with 20% due at project kick-off, another 20% at design approval, 30% at infrastructure deployment, 20% at testing, and the final 10% at go-live. Invoices are payable within 90 days of receipt.
Tejesh Kumar Kodali, Group Chairman of Blue Cloud, emphasized the company’s focus on delivery and performance, stating, 'We intend to run this engagement to the standard IBM Cloud expects, and to bring the same discipline to every AI infrastructure programme we take on.' Vinod Babu Bollikonda, Managing Director and Group CEO, highlighted the importance of the initial phases, noting, 'We are working to the milestones and service levels in the Statement of Work, including 99.5% availability, and our priority now is a clean design approval and a firm path to deployment.'
