Blue Cloud Softech Solutions saw its shares rise by about 2 per cent on the BSE in early trade on Friday, following news that its US subsidiary Global Impx Inc. had secured a significant order from IBM Cloud Inc.

The contract is worth Rs 147 crore (USD 15.5 million) and involves the design, deployment, and support of an AI infrastructure platform for enterprise AI workloads in New Jersey.

The fixed-fee contract comes less than three months after Global Impx joined the Blue Cloud group, with work commencing on September 24 and set to be delivered in five milestones by production go-live.

AI is moving out of the lab and into production, running on infrastructure, according to Tejesh Kumar Kodali, Chairman of the Blue Cloud Group.
