Boeing 737-300 Experiences Rejected Takeoff at Mashhad International Airport

A Boeing 737-300 aircraft operated by Sepehran Airlines experienced severe vibrations during a rejected takeoff at Mashhad International Airport on September 14. The incident occurred while the plane, EP-FSU, was attempting to operate flight IS4358 from Mashhad to Kermanshah.

The crew aborted the takeoff after abnormal oscillations developed in the main landing gear, causing vibrations that damaged components of the landing gear and subsequently the tires. A shimmy damper was found in poor condition, with leakage, wear, and corrosion contributing to the issue.

No injuries were reported, but parts of the cabin interior came loose during the incident, with passengers trying to hold onto overhead components as the aircraft shook violently. The Iranian Civil Aviation Organization is investigating the occurrence, but no primary investigation report has been publicly available.
