Boeing 737-500 Veers Off Runway at Iranian Airport

A Boeing 737-500 operated by Iranian airline Sepehran Airlines suffered a runway excursion while landing at Mashhad Airport on August 25. The aircraft, registration EP-FSF, was flying from Tehran Mehrabad to Mashhad with 127 people on board.

The plane landed on Runway 13R but veered off the runway and came to a stop. According to reports, the status of the aircraft's nose landing gear is unclear, with The Aviation Herald suggesting it may have been retracted or collapsed during the incident.

All passengers and crew were safely evacuated from the plane, with no reported fatalities or injuries. An investigation into the incident has been launched by Iran's Civil Aviation Organization.
