Boeing 737 Cabin Ceiling Collapses Mid-Flight on Sepehran Airlines Flight
A terrifying incident unfolded on a Sepehran Airlines Boeing 737 flight from Mashhad to Kermanshah, Iran. On September 15th, the plane experienced severe vibrations due to a burst tire, which damaged the engine and caused sections of the cabin ceiling to collapse.
The violent shaking prompted the captain to declare an emergency and return to Mashhad's Hashemi Nejad International Airport. Dramatic video footage captured from inside the cabin shows passengers screaming and praying as parts of the overhead compartments detached and fell onto people below.
Fortunately, all passengers and crew were able to evacuate safely, with no reported injuries. The Iran Civil Aviation Organization has launched an investigation into the incident, which marks the second recent emergency involving Sepehran Airlines at Mashhad airport.
