Boeing 737 MAX 10 Certification Delayed Amid New Software Issue

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has delayed certification of Boeing's long-awaited 737 MAX 10, citing a newly disclosed software issue that could prevent pilots from accessing automated flight guidance during landing.

Boeing shares plummeted by 6.3% on Monday as investors worried about further delays to the MAX 10, which is crucial for Boeing's efforts to regain market share lost to Airbus in the single-aisle segment.

According to FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford, the software issue was supplied by GE Aerospace and may be resolved quickly, but no timeline has been given yet. 'We will be delaying the 10 until we're satisfied that we don't have an issue here,' Bedford said.
