Boeing 737 MAX 10 Certification Delayed Over Software Issue
The Boeing 737 MAX 10 faces yet another certification delay due to a software issue discovered by regulators. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has halted certification until the problem is resolved, adding to the aircraft's already lengthy development process.
According to FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford, the certification of the MAX 10 will be delayed until the agency is satisfied that the software issue has been addressed. Bedford did not provide a timeline for the certification process.
The software problem affects certain 737 MAX aircraft and can prevent pilots from accessing automated flight guidance during specific landing scenarios. Boeing stated that it had notified operators of the issue and was developing a software update to resolve the problem permanently.
