Boeing 737 MAX 10 Certification Looms as FAA Expected to Approve
The Boeing 737 MAX 10 is nearing certification after years of challenges for the aerospace giant. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recently certified the 737 MAX 7, and now expects the 737 MAX 10 to follow suit within days.
According to Reuters, Alaska Airlines, which will be the US launch customer for the aircraft, believes certification is imminent before the end of September. This aligns with statements from Boeing executives, including CEO Kelly Ortberg, who said last week that 737 MAX 10 certification is coming 'very soon.'
The 737 MAX 10 has over 1,500 firm orders and will offer the best per-seat economics of any Boeing narrow body plane. Airlines such as Alaska, American, Delta, and United have placed significant orders for the aircraft.
