Boeing 737 MAX 7 & 10 Clear Final Technical Hurdle

The Boeing 737 MAX family has taken another significant step towards recovery after years of setbacks. On July 28, 2026, the company announced that both the 737-7 (MAX 7) and 737-10 (MAX 10) have completed their certification flight testing.

This milestone marks a major technical hurdle cleared for the two largest members of the 737 MAX family. The MAX 10 campaign involved an impressive 976 flights, covering over 2,060 hours in the air and around 1,040 hours of ground testing across three test aircraft.

The certification flight testing validated key items such as the Engine Anti-Ice (EAI) fix, enhanced Angle of Attack (eAoA), and wet-runway braking. However, FAA type certification is still pending and targeted for 2026, with first deliveries expected in 2027.
