Boeing 737 MAX Software Glitch Affects 96 Indian Planes
A software issue has been identified in some Boeing 737 MAX aircraft operated by Air India Express and Akasa Air in India.
The glitch may affect around 96 planes, with Air India Express operating around 53 of these aircraft and Akasa Air having a fleet of about 43. The issue could cause the automated flight guidance system to disengage during a specific landing scenario.
Boeing has informed operators of the 737 MAX about the problem, which was first notified last month. The company is working on a software update that is expected to provide a permanent solution.
