Boeing 737 MAX Software Glitch Raises Safety Concerns

A recent software glitch in Boeing's 737 MAX jets has raised concerns about automated navigation after a missed landing approach.

The issue can occur when pilots change their planned flight path after abandoning a landing attempt, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Industry officials said this could increase the crew's workload at a critical stage, particularly if the aircraft is at low altitude and encountering bad weather.

Boeing acknowledged the issue but stated it does not pose a safety risk. However, the company notified 737 MAX operators about the problem in late August and is working on a software update to permanently address the issue.
