Boeing 737 MAX Survives Brutal Co-Pilot Attack Thanks to Sturdy Construction
A Flydubai Boeing 737 MAX flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv nearly ended in disaster after the co-pilot allegedly attacked the captain and attempted to crash the plane. According to reports, the co-pilot stabbed the captain and tried to intentionally bring down the aircraft.
The jet may have briefly reached supersonic speeds during the dive, but thanks to the quick actions of two off-duty pilots who took over control of the plane, it was able to land safely in Saudi Arabia. Amazingly, all 174 passengers on board, including 27 children, were able to evacuate the plane without any major injuries.
The Boeing 737 MAX at the center of this incident was built in Renton, Washington, and its construction is being credited with saving the lives of everyone on board. Aviation analyst John Nance described the situation as 'incredibly improbable' that the plane would have survived such a violent descent without its sturdy construction.
