Boeing Anchors Everett's Economic Growth
Everett, Washington has long been shaped by its industrial roots, particularly in aerospace and manufacturing. The city's economy is now being anchored by Boeing's massive manufacturing and assembly operation, which recently expanded with a new North Line.
The Port of Everett continues to play a crucial role in regional commerce, and the city is investing in improvements and amenities to support future growth. According to Wendy Poischbeg, CEO of the Greater Everett Chamber of Commerce, a new generation of entrepreneurs is discovering a growing startup culture and community that supports small businesses.
The city's priorities include strengthening connections between neighborhoods, businesses, transportation networks, and regional partners, with much of its funding directed toward infrastructure improvement and local connectivity. Poischbeg noted that 'Everett is being seen in a new light,' citing the city's highly skilled workforce, proximity to Seattle, and direct access to I-5 as key advantages for businesses.
